born 1968 in Melbourne, Australia.
Apprenticeship: Studied cello with Henry Wenig as well as piano and composition at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) Melbourne, closed with distinction. Master classes and private lessons in London, Germany, Italy and Austria with Milos Mlejnik, Mischa Maisky, Mark Dobrinsky and William Pleeth.
1987 Winner of the Herbert N. Davis Chamber Music Award,
1998 Hepzibah Menuhin Award for String Soloists by the Musical Society of Victoria, both conferred by Lord Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
1989 Winner of the Peers Cotemore Scholarship for Overseas Studies (VCA),
1992 First place at the international cellocompetition in Liezen, Austria.
Activities : Member of the Ensemble Music On Line, Ensemble des 20. Jahrhunderts, and kooperation with the Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Kontrapunkt, Totales Theater, Nomad Theatre, Liz King Tanztheater, Sebastian Prantl Tanztheater, Christine Gaigg Tanztheater, Vereinigte Bühnen, Wiener Volkstheater and Wiener Burgtheater. Works with music concept, experimental and improvisational jazz, as well as with the Ritter-Lechner-Coleman-Trio. Scores of composition-errands.
